May 2026 Update
Dear All,
Since signing the Program of Record contract, we have been quite busy:
Delivering Contract Milestones:
I am pleased to report the Company delivered its first milestones to the Commonwealth. The start of this relationship has also included a visit by the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG).

Underwater Defence Technology (UDT) London 14-16 April
Ocius attended the UDT Expo in London in April, which focused heavily on autonomy. I presented on the opening day and observed strong Royal Navy emphasis on a ‘hybrid’ fleet of crewed and uncrewed vessels. Notably, USV classification is shifting from size-based (small, medium, large) to mission-based categories: Persistent (where Bluebottle is a unique offering), Interceptor (high-speed), and Cargo (large, container-capable platforms).

Sea Air Space (SAS) Washington 20 April – 22 April
Following UDT, part of the BD team relocated to Washington for the Sea Air Space SEA Expo and convention. We caught up with our good friends from Thayer Mahan and had the great honour to catch up with Senator Joe Courtney who officially christened TM001 at last year’s SAS.

Spitfire Association ANZAC Day Lunch – Spitfire Fellow address.
On Anzac Day I was honoured to speak about the 2017 Spitfire Memorial Fellowship Award for $30,000 to make an improved design of our keel winch. This fellowship, along with a $150k contract from DSTG, ran the whole Company for a year in 2018!

Retirement of Andrew Aitken.
Andrew has retired as Chair and Director of Ocius. On behalf of the Board and the Company, I extend our sincere and formal thanks to Andrew for his distinguished service as Chairman. Andrew served as a Director from 14 June 2019 and assumed the role of Chairman at the 2025 Annual General Meeting. Over this period, he provided measured, principled and effective leadership at a time of significant expansion and increasing organisational maturity. Under his stewardship, the Company has achieved a material step change in performance, with revenue, profitability and staff numbers doubling while moving factories. Importantly, this growth has been underpinned by commitment to sound corporate governance, rigour in board processes and a disciplined approach to shareholder engagement. His contribution has strengthened the Company’s governance framework and positioned it well for its next phase of development. The Board records its deep appreciation for his service and acknowledges the enduring impact of his leadership. We extend to him our very best wishes for his retirement.
My sincere thanks to our entire Team Ocius, including our fantastic engineers, staff and supply chain partners.
I look to keeping you up to date regularly going forward during this period of rapid developments.
Robert Dane CEO
