Robert Dane, chief executive officer and founder of Solar Sailor Holdings Ltd., talks about the potential of environmentally-friendly marine transportation in Hong Kong and China.
Solar Sailor owns patented “solarsail” technology, which can harvest wind and solar energy on any vehicle and has developed hybrid marine power technology for a variety of applications from small unmanned vessels, to ferries, cruisers and tankers, according to the company’s website.
Solar Sailor’s technology is on display at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. Dane spoke in Hong Kong with Bloomberg’s Danielle Tran on July 30.
