Spitfire Association
Ocius is proud to support the Spitfire Association Fellowship, an initiative that encourages the development of advanced knowledge and expertise that contributes to Australia’s defence capability. Ocius was awarded a Fellowship in 2017, with the funding playing a pivotal role in the early development of the innovative “reel in the keel” winch for our first Bluebottle, BRUCE. This technology enables Bluebottles to deploy sensors and arrays to significant and varying depths. At a critical stage of the company’s growth, the $30,000 Fellowship provided valuable support that helped bring the first winches to life and enabled their successful demonstration to the Royal Australian Navy in August 2017.
